Is the ASUS ROG 32" 4K OLED good for FPS games? I play Apex and Overwatch
- @JuliaHogwarts16 h
I’ve been using it for a while. Great colors and super ok with 240Hz. But the screen is reflective, and you’ll need a strong GPU. My 4080 struggles with 4K at high settings, u know
How’s the HDR? Is it bright enough?

HDR is decent, but the LG 32GQ950 is brighter if that’s what you want. The ASUS is better for speed and colors, though.

I guess if you’re not just gaming, check the Alienware AW3423DW. Ultrawide OLED, good for immersion, and no reflection issues.

What You Need to Know Before Buying:
Before purchasing a high-end gaming monitor like this, consider the following technical aspects:
- GPU Compatibility: Ensure your graphics card can handle 4K resolution at 240Hz with high graphical settings. This monitor demands a very powerful GPU.
- Connectivity: Check for the available ports (DisplayPort, HDMI) and ensure they match your system's output capabilities. High refresh rates at 4K usually require DisplayPort.
- Desktop Space: Make sure you have adequate desk space for a 32-inch monitor. It's a large display.
Extra Tips:
- Read reviews: Check professional and user reviews to gain insights into real-world performance and potential issues.
- Consider your games: This monitor excels in fast-paced games. If you primarily play slower-paced or strategy games, the high refresh rate might be less crucial.
- Brightness and color accuracy: OLED panels can sometimes suffer from burn-in, though this is less of a concern with modern technology. Consider this if you plan to have static elements on-screen for long periods.
- Warranty and return policy: Understand the manufacturer's warranty and return policy before committing to the purchase.
- Budget: While we're not discussing price here, remember this is a premium monitor. Be certain it aligns with your overall budget for PC upgrades.
Level up your savings. It's free.
